You can download it directly from the <a href=\"http:\/\/susestudio.com\/a\/2qtLK2\/geekocfd\" target=\"_blank\">SUSE Gallery page<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>GeekoCFD 6.0.1 brings the following updates:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>CFD and C++ development applications\n<ul>\n<li>OpenFOAM 2.2.x, with x &gt; 2. The repository release of OpenFOAM includes the latest updates and bug fixes made to OpenFOAM by its developers.<\/li>\n<li>gmsh 2.8.3, the latest version of the gmsh mesh generation tool.<\/li>\n<li>Eclipse Kepler SR1 with CDT<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Base openSUSE system\n<ul>\n<li>Linux kernel 3.11.<\/li>\n<li>glibc 2.18.<\/li>\n<li>gcc 4.8.<\/li>\n<li>YaST 3.0, rewritten in Ruby.<\/li>\n<li>KDE 4.11.<\/li>\n<li>Qt 5.1.1 and 4.8.5.<\/li>\n<li>LibreOffice 4.1.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Dropped packages\n<ul>\n<li>Helyx OS: the package has been split into a core component (kernel) and the GUI. The kernel component requires root access to operate. For this reason it has been dropped until further consideration.<\/li>\n<li>QtOctave: the RPM is not available for openSUSE 13.1.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The openSUSE 13.1 release comes with <a title=\"Evergreen\" href=\"http:\/\/en.opensuse.org\/Evergreen\" target=\"_blank\">Evergreen<\/a> extended support, which will prolong its life after the standard end-of-life period of 18 months. GeekoCFD strictly follows the regular openSUSE release cycle, however users interested in a longer life cycle of their distribution can rely on the Evergreen project, which will start supporting openSUSE 13.1 at the end of its officially supported life-cycle in May 2015, and will continue supporting it until November 2016.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Finally some statistics: GeekoCFD has been downloaded a total of 4446 times and cloned 151 times at the time this announcement was written.
